2026 COVENANT PARTNERSHIP UPDATE
As many of you know, we have been in a multi-year process of reviewing, refining, and now implementing a membership model that reflects the heartbeat of discipleship, the tone of our denomination, and the ethos of our local church. Our goal has been—and continues to be—to create a pathway of commitment at the local church level that inspires people to become whole and connected followers of Jesus alongside one another.More than a duty or a membership perk, Covenant Partnership is our way of expressing commitment, belonging, and a lifelong journey of following Jesus within the context of the local church.Below are the key features of this renewed membership model, which we are calling Covenant Partnership:

  1. Shared Commitments – Covenant Partners are invited to articulate commitments to the church and to their own walk with Jesus across four categories: Participation, Generosity, Growth, and Service.
  2. Annual Renewal – Each year, individuals are invited to review their commitments from the previous year and prayerfully update them as part of renewing their Covenant Partnership.
  3. Legacy Status – Covenant Partners who choose not to renew their commitments will move to a “Legacy Member” status. Legacy Members are always welcome to renew their commitments and re-enter Covenant Partnership at any time.
  4. Care and Encouragement – Each Covenant Partner will have the opportunity to meet annually with the Covenant Partner Care Team for encouragement and prayer. These gatherings are designed to provide personal, in-person care and support.

Following Sunday’s vote—where the proposal passed with over 90% approval of members present—this new model has officially been adopted as our practice of membership here at Hope.As with any significant change, the transition from one system to another will take time. We anticipate using this next year to address unforeseen challenges, patiently walk alongside those who have further questions, and navigate any confusion that may arise during this process. We have several supporting documents available below that provide additional information about Covenant Partnership and the reasons behind this change. Our staff, Covenant Partner Care Team, and Leadership Team are all available to answer questions and help make this transition as smooth as possible. If you have a specific question or would like to schedule an in-person conversation, please reach out to the church office.Important Note Regarding the Upcoming Covenant Partner Introduction Class: If you are already a member of Hope and would like to become a Covenant Partner, you do not need to attend the orientation class. We simply invite you to complete the Covenant Partner Commitment Form and begin mapping out your commitments for 2026.If you are not currently a member of Hope and would like to explore becoming a Covenant Partner, we will be offering an orientation class on March 8 from noon to 2:00 p.m. Register HERE.Our sincere prayer is that this intentional process will not only help you grow in your walk with the Lord, but will also help our entire church unite around a shared vision of being Hope for the life of the world.

  • the vision of covenant partnership

Why does Covenant Partnership matter?: The purpose of Covenant Partnership (formerly membership) is to inspire, guide, and mobilize the apprentices of Jesus towards the embodiment of the Kingdom of God reality. Covenant Partnership is one pathway in the formation of our whole selves into the likeness of Christ. Covenant Partners are formed through worship, refined in community, shaped by prayer, healed through love, and sent out to be hope for the life of the world.

    COVENANT COMMITMENT PLANNER
This is a tool that will helpful for some and not for others. Please feel free to take a look and decipher whether or not it will enhance your journey. Some have said that this matrix will help them stay on track in their walk this year. You may want to print it out to keep in your Bible-- or maybe not! This is just one option to have in your toolbox- it is not mandatory.

  • Ways to grow

    THE DISCIPLESHIP COLLECTIVE

We want to help you grow and our Discipleship Collective is a great way to begin that journey! If you're unfamiliar, the Discipleship Collective, which was rolled out in January of 2024 is a collection of 10 "pathways" led by amazing people of God, "Shepherds" who want to walk beside you and support you on our journey.

    What's a Pathway?

We have 10 pathways, which are listed below. We've identified these as areas of our life that can be improved upon spiritually to form us into whole followers of Jesus.

Pathways: Service, Stewardship, Emotional Wellbeing, Physical Wellness, Witness, Worship as Lifestyle, Christ Centered Relationships, Growing Deep Roots, Habits & Rhythms, and Empathy.

    What is a Shepherd?

Each pathway has one or two shepherds that have written content, developed core experiences and recommended resources to help you grow in their area of expertise. They are there for you if you allow them to be.

    JOIN THE HOPE CARE TEAM
Looking for ways to serve this year! A great place to start is to join up with our Hope Care Team! The Hope Care Team (HCT) is collaborative and coordinated team of people who work with both the Lead Pastor and Spiritual Care Team to provide integrated care for the people of Hope Covenant. Our five ways include: bringing MEALS to those going through a tough time, VISITing people who are in need of companionship, performing small ACTS OF SERVICE for people, CALLing OR TEXTing to brighten someone's day, giving RIDES to those in need of transportation.

This system is wonderful because it is very flexible and help us all share and receive the blessings of our gifts. There no monthly meetings. Ideally everyone who attends would be on this team in some capacity. How does it work? You sign up using the link below, we activate you when a need arises.
