WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We focus on three things here at Hope Covenant. First we focus on gathering well! Sunday morning are an important time of being together, caring for one another and joining together in worship. Our services last about an hour from start to finish. We sing mainly contemporary songs while mixing in some traditional songs from the past.
Second thing we focus on is growing deeper. On Sunday morning our teaching is focus on understanding the big story of the bible and how God's story intersections with our story. Sermons typically run about 25 mins.
Thirdly we focus on going further. As we gather together and grow deeper we understand that church isn't just about us but about taking the good news into our community. We think you will walk away on a Sunday morning encouraged and also invited to bring Sunday into the rest of your week.
WHERE DO I PARK/ENTER THE BUILDING?
We have a parking lot on the North East side of our building directly off of Ramsey Place Street. You're also welcome to park on the street around Hope Cov. A note to pay attention to the street signage as parking is limited to certain times. Our main entrance is Entrance 1. There's a big sign above the door that says "Enter Here." We'll be there to greet you as you arrive on a Sunday morning!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We are a come-as-you-are kind of a church. Some folks dress up, many wear jeans, and others fall somewhere in between. We aren't concerned with how put together you may or may not look. So don't worry about it. Come as you are, both on the outside and the inside.
WHAT IS THE OVERALL ENVIRONMENT LIKE?
If the Pandemic has taught us anything, it's that we value being in community with one another. We are a community fill of people of all ages, from all walks of life. We strive to be a multi-generational church so when you walk in you will see a wide range of people talking, laughing and doing life together. We are a friendly bunch, eager to meet new people and help you connect with God. We understand that going to any new place full of new faces can be uncomfortable so we strive to make you feel at ease and at home at Hope.
WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?
We do take an offering every week. However, whether it is your first Sunday with us as a visitor or you've been joining us for awhile, giving is entirely your choice. If you want to call Hope your church home, then we do believe giving financially to God and His church is the right thing to do as part of the family. God calls us to do so with a cheerful heart.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We're a multi-generational church! And we LOVE kids! They're a priority to us and we desire to care well for kids, teens, and their families!
Here's a glimpse at a typical Sunday morning at Hope:
NURSERY: There are two nursery options available. We have a nursery for children birth to 2.5 years old and a nursery for children 2.5 to 4 years old. Both are staffed with loving volunteers, who, just like you, want the best for your children. You can drop them off there, or you are more than welcome to keep your kids with you during the service. We encourage whatever works for you and your family so you are able to connect with God and truly be in His presence.
HCK HUDDLES (Hope Cov Kids): Just prior to the sermon, children ages 4 (by September) - 5th grade are invited to our Hope Cov Kids Huddles (our kid-friendly discipleship experiences). Check your kids in at the HCK Welcome Desk before the service to get them all checked in!
