Questions? We have Answers!

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

We sing songs of praise together led by talented musicians from our congregation who have been gifted in a variety of instruments. The selection of songs we sing are varied: contemporary Christian music, hymns, and sometimes original songs!

We listen to teaching from the Bible, meaning our sermons are Biblically based and relevant to life today. You will be encouraged and maybe even a little challenged.

We pray together every week. We have different ways to pray, whether it be on your own silently, or with an Elder who is equipped to cover you in prayer.

Services are followed by a time of fellowship which is an opportunity to get to know others over coffee and a light snack. Some people hang out in the sanctuary, some move to the sofas and tables in the Welcome Center, and on the nice Minnesota summer days we tend to mingle outside in the yard.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We are a come as you are kind of a church. Some folks dress up, many wear jeans, and others fall somewhere in between. We aren't concerned with how put together you may or may not look. So don't worry about it and just come as you are, both on the outside and the inside.

WHAT IS THE MUSIC LIKE?

The best way to describe it is to EXPERIENCE it. Go on, have a listen and get a taste of our style.

WHAT IS THE OVERALL ENVIRONMENT LIKE?

You will see lots of interaction between people, there is no doubt about that. We are a family full of people of all ages, from all walks of life, with dynamic relationships. We all find our identity and commonality at the foot of the cross. While we are close knit, we are not closed off. We are a friendly bunch, eager to meet new people and help you connect with God. We understand that going to any new place full of new faces can be uncomfortable so we strive to make you feel at ease and at home at Hope.

WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?

We do take an offering every week however, whether it is your first Sunday with us as a visitor or you've been joining us for quite some time, giving is entirely your choice. If you want to call Hope your church home, then we do believe giving financially to God and His church is the right thing to do as part of the family. He calls us to do so with a cheerful heart.

Kids @ Hope

WHAT ABOUT MY  KIDS?

We are a family oriented church. We strive to make church fulfilling for adults and children alike. There is nursery available for children under the age of 4 staffed with loving volunteers, who, just like you, want the best for your children. You can drop them off there, or you are more than welcome to keep your kids with you during the service. Whatever works for you and your family so you are able to connect with God and truly be in His presence.

What about my older kids? Every Sunday we have a "Mystery Box." Children are invited forward to listen to a short special message from our Pastor that ties into what is found in the box.

Jesus and Me (JAM): Just prior to the sermon, children ages 4 - 5th grade are invited to age appropriate programming for the duration of the service.

It is just as important for your children to CONNECT with God and others as it is for you. We want them to feel welcome and comfortable too. Click here to learn more about other opportunities for your kids to CONNECT.
